I am offering a free photography package for one lucky couple with a weekday wedding this Fall, 2011. This is ideally suited for civil ceremonies at San Francisco City Hall, but your wedding can be anywhere (travel expenses apply).
You will receive 4 hours of wedding photography coverage, high resolution digital images, a personal web gallery and print ordering service. You will also receive two-for-one prints with every order!
The contest starts on May 1st, 2011 and ends August 1st, 2011. Voting will last for one month during August. Your wedding must take place from September 1st to December 20th 2011.
Here’s what you have to do:
1. Post the following message on twitter:

2. Email a picture of you and your fiancé to “info *at* dobrinweddings.com,” and tell us why you should win. We would love to hear about unique experiences you’ve shared, the ways you first connected, obstacles you have overcome, romantic proposals, etc.
3. The top 3 contestants will have their stories posted on our photography blog. The last step would be to have friends and family vote for you! The couple with the most votes wins a package that retails for over $1,000.
As a thank you gift to all contestants, every couple who enters will be given a discount on a weekday photography package!

I had the amazing opportunity to photograph Shawn’s proposal to his girlfriend Toya at San Francisco’s City Hall. They were both visiting SF from the east coast and had planned for a fun weekend out in the Bay Area. Toya thought we were just doing a portrait session! Shawn and I had spoken several times over the phone, even on the day of, to coordinate the details of how this would go down. The first few photos are all fun leading up to the big moment. Shawn then gave Toya a book of memories/photos together while sitting on the bench inside. She was already starting the tear up and he hadn’t even proposed yet!
Oh boy.
After she was done reading it, they both stood up and hugged + kissed. Shawn then got down on one knee and Toya fell back down onto her seat! LOL. Tears, laughter, joy and jubilation soon ensued. Toya called family members spreading the good news. There happened to be a beverage stand indoors and they got a few glasses of champagne. We then did a few more photos outside in the front yard of City Hall.
It was truly an honor to witness such an amazing moment. I wish them both the very best.
